About

I have always wanted to understand what lies beyond the obvious.

The human relationships that shape institutions. The cultural expectations that influence decisions. The perspectives that rarely find their way into public conversations.

My professional life has taken me through international institutions and business environments, from New York to the Horn of Africa. Along the way, I have learned that understanding a country or region takes more than knowing its institutions, markets or formal structures. It also means understanding the people who live there.

This belief guides my work as an independent consultant. With a particular focus on the Horn of Africa, I help businesses, investors and organizations understand markets, relationships and local cultural realities.

It also informs my work as an executive producer. Through independent documentaries and original storytelling projects, I explore questions of identity, culture and how we see the world, with particular attention to voices and experiences that are too often overlooked.

For me, consulting and storytelling are distinct disciplines connected by a shared purpose: understanding people and the worlds they inhabit.
